About Christopher Adam

Christopher Adam Hello! Thank you for stopping by. It's great to see you!

For over 25 years, I have had this extra appendage constantly attached to me. Some people call it a camera. I refer to it as an extension of myself. I can't recall a time when a camera is not with me, no matter where I am, or where I am going. You never know what you're going to see, or what story needs to be told. I am a storyteller, and the camera is my medium. A writer has his pen, a painter has her paint, and I have light and shadow captured through the lens of my camera.

From an early age (ok, not too early, I was already one of those rebelluous and angsty teenagers) I knew I wanted to be a photographer. I was lured in by sensory overload - not only from the photos I was creating, but by the touch of my film, the smells that surrounded me for countless hours in the darkroom, and the sounds that came from that anticipation when after every frame I took, I advanced the film to the next moment of captured time.

My unique vision coupled with my almost clinical attention to detail and perfection has allowed me to see the world around me in a way that most people never see. There's beauty, and emotion, everywhere... from the smallest patterns in a snowflake, to the vast majestic forests and deserts of our beautiful world. My camera is at the ready!

Having a formal education in both the fine art and technical aspects of photography from one of the top photography schools in the United States has helped me in immesurable ways in my career. I have been fortunate enough to work from coast to coast, and even internationally, in a varied number of photographic disciplines. Throughout my lengthy career, I have photographed musicians & concerts, fashion & runway models, pageant winners, politicans, TV & film celebrities, business executives, newborns to high school seniors, and the occasional wedding (now by special request only). My hard work and perseverance has been rewarded with industry accolades, awards, and exhibitions of my photographs.

Despite having been a photographer for most of my life, every day brings new challenges and possibilities. I still have that fire and drive within to create and push my limits. Every shoot, every client, every day is new. Sometimes, you will find me in a kitchen resisting the urge to eat the food I am working on photographing, or you might find me hiding behind a bird blind doubling as a mosquito buffet while photographing Warblers.

Every photograph tells a story. What's your story?
